Sugi is a brand by Mr. Sugimoto, a legend who has supported Japanese guitar making for many years.

NB is known as a flagship model and is known to be used by Hojin Egawa, Mike Porcaro of TOTO, and others.
This is a slightly rare 6-string active circuit model.
Basically, most of them are 5-string passives, so they have elaborate specifications.
The top of the body is Burl Poplar and the back is Ash.
It has an exotic look.
The neck is a laminate type of Maple and Mahogany, and the fingerboard is Cocoboro.
GOTOH is used for the bridge and tuner, but these are not normal.
It was originally custom made by Sugi and is optimized for this bass.
Even though it has 24 frets, it has a distinctive sound that feels open without being too tight.
I feel that this feature has a positive impact on both finger play and slap.
Approximately 90% of the frets remain.
The truss rod works well.
