Description & Condition
Sire became famous as a brand that released basses supervised by Marcus Miller.
The quality of the guitars and basses they produce is very high, and they are highly supported by people other than Marcus Miller fans.
This model is based on a jazz bass.
The body is made of ash and the fingerboard is made of maple.
However, as is Marcus' style, it is equipped with an active circuit, making it a modern classic spec.
Controls include volume, tone, balancer, bass, middle, middle frequency, treble, and active-passive switch SW.
It may seem complicated at first glance, but from a bassist's point of view, it makes sense.
The sound is tight but rich in overtones, and powerful with just the right amount of comp.
This model is a must-try for those who are aiming for a Marcus-like sound, but also for those who are simply looking for a high quality jazz bass.
This is probably an early model, not a 2nd Generation.
The frets are approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is inverted from the first to the fifth fret, and then it has a forward bowing wave. The string height is 2.5mm to 3.0mm and can be played without any problem. The pegs are dull.
The condition of the body and painted surface shows minor scratches on the body and pickguard.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The pickguard has been replaced.
