Sago is a handmade guitar brand based in Hyogo Prefecture that specializes in fully customized guitars that fulfill all of the customer's requests.
In addition, the regular models (although most of them are one-offs) made by utilizing the knowledge and skills cultivated over many years are also highly regarded.
Sago is also a brand that is highly trusted by musicians.
Notable Sago artists include Tanabuchi from Unison Square Garden, RIO from Mary's Blood, and Kusakari from Sakanaction.
This is a replica model based on the JB.
The most distinctive feature is the 36-inch scale.
A longer scale enhances the fundamental tone, resulting in a more massive and robust sound.
For example, you could tune it to Drop A, or keep it in standard tuning for a stronger sound.
Such unique specifications are typically difficult to achieve, but Sago makes it possible.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
A classic wood combination.
The neck is made of Light Thermo Hard Maple.
Thermo maple was originally used as building material for Finnish saunas and has exceptional resistance to high temperatures and humidity.
This results in a smooth attack and a pleasant response.
Some new basses may give the impression that the strings only resonate on the frets, but this bass does not have such negative aspects.
However, the sound's range and tension are typical of modern basses, and the balance between them is wonderful.
The sound features Sago's unique, robust low-end, which is quite distinctive.
While it has the wide range typical of modern basses, the dense midrange is well-crafted, allowing it to blend perfectly into an ensemble.
The remaining fret wear is approximately 90%.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck shows slight high-end warping, but it can be played without issues at our store's standard string height settings: G string 2.0mm to E string 2.5mm.
The body and finish show no noticeable scratches.
The electronics are in good condition.
