Description & Condition
Sadowsky is a high brand in NYC whose clients include top musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee.
There are many rumors about NYC, but it is still available for order.
However, the distribution volume has decreased drastically.
This is a classic 5-string JB style.
The bridge has been replaced and the pickguard may not be original.
The sound is a don't-miss NY sound.
The sound is a bit more old school than the more recent ones with tone control.
Personally, I think this is what the original Sadowksy sounded like.
Of course it is great that they keep updating it, and I don't mean that in a negative way, just that it is different.
I think the signature on the back panel is by Francis Rocco Prestia.
It is nice.
The frets are roughly 70% remaining.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is in good condition. There are some dark spots on the grips where it has been played.
The head is dotted with small dents.
The body and painted surface are in good condition with minor dings and scratches scattered throughout.
Metal parts are dull and rusty.
The cutaway section appears to be slightly yellowed.
The bridge has been replaced with Hipshot Style A Brass.
The lower hole of the original bridge has been filled in, so it will require modification to return to the original bridge.
The body has been modified to allow the 5th string to pass through the back.
The round string retainer has been replaced with a bar type.
