Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand whose clientele includes top musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee.
Until now, the Metroline was manufactured in Japan, but with Warwick taking over distribution of Sadowsky products, production has moved to the Warwick factory in Germany.
The Japanese-made Metroline models were originally highly acclaimed, so there were concerns about a decline in quality, but seeing the actual guitars shows no need for excessive worry.
The neck feels a little thinner than those made in Japan, and there are also differences in the roundness of the body joint.
The previous Metroline guitars featured solid bodies.
However, like the NYC model, the new Metroline guitars feature a chambered body.
This makes them significantly lighter, weighing in at around 3kg, a clear advantage.
This model is the signature model of virtuoso Will Lee.
The body features a classic ash body and maple fingerboard.
The custom preamp features a unique mid-boost switch.
This allows for a boost of 500Hz or 800Hz.
You can select either a wide range or narrow range and the Q value for each.
Sadowsky's excellent electronics, typical of this guitar, produce a powerful sound even at low string heights.
It also feels great to play, making it a product with great overall potential.
The pickups are said to be different from both the old Metro Line and NYC pickups, but they produce a neat, beautifully designed sound.
It doesn't feel peaky and seems easy to play.
Approximately 95% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paint show minor scratches and dents.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.

Instruments purchased from our store are eligible for a lifetime free ""string vibration setup"" (normally ¥4,400). (Reservation required)
- Please present your signed warranty card.

● Repurchase Price Guarantee
If you sell your purchase within six months of purchase, we will guarantee the repurchase price. This guarantee applies to 50% of the purchase price for new instruments and 70% of the purchase price for used instruments.
● Defect Guarantee
Products sold by Basic Co., Ltd. are guaranteed against defects. With the exception of some consignment items and other products, we will repair any malfunctions that occur under normal use free of charge during the warranty period (returns and refunds will only be accepted if repairs are not possible).
The warranty period is three months for used products and one year for new products.
Please note that even within the warranty period, there will be a fee for repairs in the following cases:
- Malfunctions or damage caused by transportation, movement, dropping, etc.
- Replacement of consumables.
- Malfunctions or damage caused by fire, earthquake, salt damage, gas damage, or abnormal voltage.
- Malfunctions or damage caused by handling that violates the precautions in the instruction manual.
- Malfunctions or damage to parts repaired or modified by parties other than our company.
- If your name, model name, serial number, etc. are not written on the warranty card, or if the wording has been altered.
- If the warranty card is not presented or lost.
(Warranty is only available for purchases within Japan.)
