Until now, the Metroline was manufactured in Japan, but with Warwick taking over distribution of Sadowsky products, production moved to the Warwick factory in Germany.

Since the Japanese-made Metroline models were already highly acclaimed, there were concerns about a decline in quality, but seeing the actual instrument shows no need for excessive concern.

The neck feels a little thinner than the Japanese-made models, and there are also differences in the roundness of the body joint.

The brand has several lines for different price ranges, and this is the Masterbuilt series.

The quality is outstanding, living up to its name.
For example, the precision of the back panel, the spring mechanism for easy opening, and the sponge under the pickup not only show the high-quality wood, but also the love for the player in every key detail.

This model is an M/J Bass incorporating the MM style.

The body is made of Swamp Ash and the fingerboard is made of Maple, a classic wood construction.

The pickups are stacked hum-canceling type on the neck side and hum-canceling type on the bridge side.

Each can be switched between series, tap, and parallel, allowing for a wide range of sound creation.

The preamp is the familiar 2-Band Boost type.

It can produce sounds ranging from the crisp sound of a JB, the powerful sound of an MM, to the funky sound of a JM like heard in recent gospel music.

And yet, the playing feel is smooth and refined.

The truss rod is stiff, but has been confirmed to move about 90 degrees.
