Real Bossa Design is a leading guitar and bass brand in the Kansai region.
Its high quality has earned the support of many musicians.
The brand’s basses are used by numerous bassists both in Japan and abroad, including Nate Watts and Matt Ramsey (titles omitted).
Unfortunately, the brand is currently largely inactive.
While the lineup includes several attractive models, this one is the UJB, a model that retains much of the classic JB character.
Judging by its appearance, the body is made of alder, the neck of maple, and the fingerboard of ebony.
The pickups are original.
The neck feels great, offering excellent playability and a smooth playing experience.
I believe this is a wonderful feature unique to this brand.
True to the JB style, it delivers a crisp sound while also possessing power and richness—a truly appealing combination.
I believe this is a renowned brand that could compete on a global scale thanks to its unique originality and high quality.
Approximately 90% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck shows signs of bowing, but it plays perfectly fine after adjusting the string action to 2.5mm on the G string and 3.0mm on the E string at the 12th fret.
The body and finish show scattered dents and scratches overall, indicating signs of use. The metal parts have some tarnish.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
