PAUL LAIRAT is a French handmade bass brand.
The brand is widely used by European bassists, including ETIENNE MBAPPE and GABRIEL SEVERN, and has earned a strong reputation among professional musicians.
We often come across the brand at European guitar shows, and PAUL LAIRAT has always struck us as an impressive brand with a genuine passion for its instruments and a clear, logical approach to design.
The Myra is a model that incorporates subtle elements of the classic JB style.
The body appears to feature a Burly Ash top with a Walnut back.
The neck appears to be a laminated construction using Maple, Walnut, Wenge, and Ebony.
Laminating multiple types of wood together helps minimize differences between individual pieces and between the two sides of the neck, resulting in greater overall stability.
The fingerboard appears to be Ebony. The wooden block inlays are beautifully executed, and the instrument is finished with a matching headstock.

The pickups are Delano dual-coil types, paired with a Noll preamp. A luxurious combination.
The body shape and playing feel will be very familiar to players who are accustomed to Fender basses.
