Description & Condition
Moon is a long-established brand representing Japan.
Highly regarded by many professional artists, Moon basses are known to be the favorites of many professionals, including Mitsuru Sudo and Larry Graham. (Titles omitted)
This is a highly acclaimed JJ-4.
This particular instrument has been extensively modified.
The body is ash and the fingerboard is ebony.
Ebony fingerboards as black as this are extremely rare these days.
The pickups are original.
The pickup covers have been replaced, and the body recess has been expanded accordingly.
The preamp has been replaced with an Aguilar OBP-2.
One control knob has been added.
Controls include master volume, balance, bass, treble, and master tone.
The bridge has been replaced with a BADASS model, and the tuning machines have been replaced with GOTOH models.
The nut has been replaced with a stainless steel nut.
The rich, crisp low end and high end are appealing.
I think it's this sound that has kept it loved by bassists for so long.
Approximately 60% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
There are dents and scratches on the body and paint.
The electrical system is in good condition.
One control knob has been added. All knobs have been replaced. The bridge is made by BADASS and the tuning machines are made by GOTOH. The nut has been replaced with a stainless steel nut. The pickup cover has been replaced, and the body counterbore has been expanded accordingly. The preamp has been replaced with an Aguilar OBP-2.
The serial number has been worn off, making it impossible to identify.

●Repurchase Price Guarantee
If you sell your product within six months of purchase, we guarantee a full repurchase price. This guarantee is 50% for new products and 70% for used products.
●Defect Guarantee
All products sold by Basic Co., Ltd. are guaranteed against defects. With the exception of some consignment items, we will repair any malfunctions that occur during normal use within the warranty period from the date of purchase free of charge (returns and refunds will only be accepted if repairs are not possible).
The warranty period is three months for used products and one year for new products.
Please note that even within the warranty period, repairs will incur a fee in the following cases:
- Malfunctions or damage caused by transportation, moving, dropping, etc.
- Replacement of consumables.
- Malfunctions or damage caused by fire, earthquake, salt damage, gas damage, or abnormal voltage.
- Malfunctions or damage caused by handling that violates the precautions in the instruction manual.
- Malfunctions or damage to parts repaired or modified by parties other than our company.
- If your name, model name, serial number, etc. are not written on the warranty card. Or if the wording has been altered.
