Highly regarded by many professional artists, moon basses are known to be favored by numerous pros such as Mitsuru Sudo and Larry Graham.
This is a slightly rare model featuring classic specifications.
And for good reason—while this bass carries the moon brand, it's a special model bearing the name of renowned builder Kazuhiko Nukui from PGM Factory, who oversees its production.
Each instrument in this series is meticulously hand-built using wood personally selected by Mr. Utsui, comparable to Fender's Master Builder Series.
The body is Alder, the neck is Maple, and the fingerboard is Madagascar Rosewood – an extremely classic configuration.
The pickups are Lindy Fralin.
They are the ultimate pickups for a classic character.
Finished in a 3-Tone Sunburst, it features a very thin lacquer finish.
True to modern high-end models, it plays exceptionally well while retaining that quintessential JB sound: thick, punchy bass and strong highs. This balance is incredibly appealing.
A masterpiece only a Japanese master craftsman could create.
Approximately 75% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show scratches and dents, but due to the relic finish, it cannot be determined if these are post-production marks.
