Description & Condition
Moon is a leading, long-established Japanese guitar brand.
It is highly regarded by many professional artists, and Mitsuru Sudo and Larry Graham are known to be users of the brand. (Titles omitted)
This is a signature model of Mitsufune Okamine, bassist of the rock band THE BACK HORN.
While Okamine has several signature models, this is the 4.5 model, a passive version in metallic green.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is ebony.
It features the same body and head shape and pickguard as the OPB type, which is one of the elements that make this instrument stand out.
The pickups are OXALIS PJ-QP.
The split coil on the neck side is reverse-mounted, and together with the J-type pickup on the bridge side, it outputs a tighter sound with a clearer definition.
These are specifications befitting a signature model of a rock band bassist.
The controls are stacked knobs for neck pickup volume/bridge pickup volume, and a master tone. The high playability and ease of use, with its natural resonance even with a light touch, are typical of Moon guitars and are very pleasing.
However, the sound is Fender-like and traditional.
While possessing a thick low end and strong midrange, the playability remains refined and smooth.
This is a guitar that anyone, not just fans, should definitely try.
The frets have approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show signs of use, including dents, scratches, and paint chipping. There are noticeable paint chips on the body top, approximately 60.0mm and 25mm in size.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
