Description & Condition
Momose, based in Matsumoto, Nagano, produces high quality basses and guitars.
Known for its high quality and beautiful looks, Momose is a favorite of artists such as Kyohei Ariga, Kazuki Isogai, and Shinya Ishihara (Saucy Dog). (Honorifics omitted).
The MTL series is Momose's flagship model with the look of a traditional Telecaster shape.
The MTL series is made by skilled craftsmen at the Asuka Factory, which has a long history of production.
This model is a component model combining Momose's MTL2-STD neck and MTL1-STD body.
It has been further modified with a matte top and aged parts, giving it an austere look.
The body is Alder and the neck is Maple.
Two single coil pickups are installed.
The wiring is vintage style with crosswire.
The Neck position produces a clear, thick and crisp sound, while the Bridge position produces an edgy and crisp sound.
The bridge is usually a DEVISER/DTB-1 with a cutout, but this model has been replaced with an orthodox plate type used by Fender and others.
The tuning machine is by Gotoh, the nut is made of oiled ox bone, the frets are Jescar, and the hardware is seamless.
This is a must-try for the guitarist with a hands-on approach to the field.
The frets are approximately 80% full.
The truss rod is in good working order and the neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and painted surface has minor abrasions throughout. There are dents on the head, top end of the body, and back of the body. Metal parts are dull.
The gloss on the body top has been removed. The bridge has been replaced.
