Description & Condition
Momose, based in Matsumoto, Nagano, produces high-quality basses and guitars.
They are renowned for their beautiful looks and superior sound.
Popular among professionals, they are known to be used by top musicians such as Kazuki Isogai and Kyohei Ariga. (Titles omitted)
The MJB1 series is an ambitious work that incorporates unique design details into a traditional JB style.
The body is made of ash.
The texture of the fretboard appears to be Madagascar rosewood, so the official model name may be MJB1-STD/NJ, but please understand that we cannot confirm this due to insufficient information.
The neck is made of roasted maple.
This is also known as thermowood.
Thermowood is valued as a wood that is resistant to high temperatures and humidity, and its usefulness for musical instruments is evident from its adoption by top manufacturers such as Sadowsky and Suhr.
Thermowood is apparently discarded to some extent during its processing.
It's likely that any pieces that might warp in the future are also discarded here.
The pickups are made by Seymour Duncan.
The sound, with its rich, undulating low end and crisp, percussive high end, possesses a universal appeal in ensembles.
As expected from the Momose brand, this is an elegant instrument, carefully assembled with high-quality materials.
The frets have approximately 70% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show some minor scratches and small dents.
The electronics are in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncan pickups. The pickguard has likely been replaced with an anodized one.
