This is a 6-string MB-1 model.
The serial number is 009, making it an early model.
The body top is made of a beautifully grained exotic wood, and the back is mahogany.
The top material looks like Bubinga.
The neck is made of 3-piece maple, and the fingerboard is Bird's Eye Maple.
The fingerboard material used for the top gives it a luxurious look.
The pickups have been replaced with Aguilar AG 6SS-D4 Super Singles.
The preamp has been replaced with a HUMPBACK ENGINEERING 1x1, and the capacitors have also been replaced with HUMPBACK ENGINEERING capacitors.
Despite the single-coil, simple preamp, it strangely gives off a texture reminiscent of a JB type.
It has a wide range and speedy responsiveness, while also possessing the low-end volume, mid-range density, and high-end power required for a bass.
It also has smooth playability, making it an overall flawless, well-made guitar.
Approximately 75% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is stiff but has been confirmed to move about 90 degrees.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show scattered scratches and dents. There are traces of stickers between the pickups and next to the neck pickup. There is some blackening on the fingerboard. There is a slight crack in the fingerboard between the 2nd and 3rd fret inlays. There are currently no playable issues.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with Aguilar AG 6SS-D4 Super Singles. The preamp has been replaced with a HUMPBACK ENGINEERING 1x1. The capacitors have also been replaced with ones made by HUMPBACK ENGINEERING.
