Description & Condition
Marchione is an American high-end brand founded by luthier Stephen Marchione.
His instruments are regarded as the best in the world and are highly acclaimed by top artists all over the world.
This model is a Vintage Tremolo with a traditional double cutaway style.
The body and neck are made of Mahogany, and the fingerboard is made of Rosewood.
The body and neck are Mahogany, and the fingerboard is Rosewood, a rare Gibson-like wood configuration for this style.
It has a slightly smaller dinky shape, which makes it easy to handle.
The pickguard has a pearl pattern, matching head, black parts, etc., giving the guitar a simple yet luxurious look.
The paint is an ultra-thin lacquer.
The finish is especially thin on the Marchione, and weather checks may occur after about 10 years.
We are looking forward to seeing how it will change over time.
The neck shape is slightly thicker, the nut width is 43.5mm, and the fingerboard R is 12 inches, making it playable like an archtop model.
Three EMG-SA pickups are mounted for low noise and clear sound.
The controls are EMG-EXG and SPC, allowing for a wide range of sound creation with the controls at hand.
The sound is characterized by a fat and delicate tone with a boxy feel despite being a solid model.
Marchione is particularly good at producing archtop models, and this model also has that element incorporated into it.
The pitch when the strings are pressed is also excellent, and the beauty of the resonance when playing complex chords can be said to be an attraction not found in other manufacturers.
Other features include a Wilkinson tremolo unit, Sperzel locking pegs, stainless steel frets, and other high-end hardware.
This is a top-of-the-line instrument that combines looks, sound, and playability.
This is a model that deserves to be called the high-end of the high-end.
The remaining frets are approximately 90%.
The truss rod is in good condition and the neck is in good condition.
There is a small ding on the top of the body near the jack. There are a few scratches on the body when exposed to light, but there is no major damage and it can be considered a beautiful piece. Paint dents can be seen throughout.
The controls are a little worn.
