Description & Condition
Larrivee is a brand founded in Toronto, Canada, and now based in the United States, crafting high-quality guitars.
It is favored by various artists both domestically and internationally, including Bruce Cockburn, Tommy Emmanuel, and Kazutoshi Sakurai.
This model was crafted in 2004, following the lineage of the “Special Vine Edition” produced in a limited run of 50 guitars in 2002.
The body top is solid Sitka Spruce, the sides and back are Indian Rosewood, the neck is Mahogany, and the fingerboard is Ebony.
This combination is truly the standard for acoustic guitars.
It features Rosewood binding, an abalone rosette, and beautiful Tree of Life inlays on the fingerboard and headstock.
The result is an exceptionally gorgeous appearance, symbolizing Larrivee's craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibility.
The sound is well-balanced with a rich tone.
Additionally, the body design incorporates a cutaway, enabling solo playing in the higher positions.
A single instrument combining high playability, tone, and beautiful design.
Why not take advantage of this opportunity?
Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod and neck condition are good.
The body and finish show impact marks along the binding on the body top and on the soundhole's 1st string side. There is also paint lifting visible on the laminated section beneath the bridge. There are granular scratches on the 6th string cutaway area and fine impact marks on the 1st string cutaway area. A whitish discoloration is visible on the 6th string side of the neck joint on the body side, and a linear scratch is visible on the 1st string side neck joint. There is also paint lifting and impact marks on the laminated section near the end pin on the body back, along with scattered fine impact marks elsewhere. The center of the body back has fine impact marks and multiple linear scratches. There is also an impact mark on the fingerboard at the 12th fret. Linear scratches are present near the 1st string peg on the headstock top. Paint transfer is visible near the 1st and 6th string pegs on the headstock side, and there is an impact mark near the 3rd string peg.
There is a crack in the center of the body top. The frets show signs of lifting.
No clear modifications were observed.
