LAKLAND has three manufacturing lines: USA, Shoreline, and Skyline. This particular model is the highly regarded Japanese-made Shoreline.

This 55-94 is the brand's flagship model, featuring a single-coil pickup in the neck position and a humbucking pickup in the bridge position.

The body top is quilted maple, and the body back is swamp ash.

The fingerboard is made of maple.

The pickups have been replaced: a Bartolini 59CBJS-S1 in the neck position and a Bartolini DL5CBC in the bridge position.

While current LAKLAND basses use original pickups, previous models used Bartolini pickups.

Many people prefer the sound of this model, which includes a richer midrange.

The preamp is original. The bridge humbucking pickup has three wiring variations: a single coil from the front, a humbucking configuration, and a single coil from the bridge.

This allows for the reproduction of a 60s JB pickup layout with a lower center of gravity, a 70s JB pickup layout with a slightly higher center of gravity, and a StingRay-like sound, when combined with the neck pickup.

The sound is beautiful, with a smooth, wet midrange, and contains many captivating harmonics.

While possessing the universal elements of a Fender bass, it features a more modern, high-range sound.

The frets have approximately 90% remaining.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and paintwork are generally clean, although there are some minor scratches.

The electronics are in good condition.

The neck pickup has been replaced with a Bartolini 59CBJS-S1, and the bridge pickup with a Bartolini DL5CBC. The strap pins have been replaced.
