Kikuchi Guitars is a new high-end brand created by Yoshiyuki Kikuchi (and Okada International), who has earned the utmost trust from many professional bassists, particularly for his work with Sadowsky bassists.

This model is based on the renowned JB, refining his previous work to create a more modern bass.

As all are custom models, there are no fixed woods, but weight is a particular priority for the body, and some woods are chambered.

This particular guitar features a quilted maple top and alder back.

The chambering process reduces weight.

The neck is maple and the fingerboard is pau ferro.

While the top material creates an exotic look, the wood construction is relatively classic.

The pickups are split-coil types manufactured by DiMarzio.

This is similar to the ones used when the Sadowsky Metroline was made in Japan.

Notable features include low noise and a treble sound.

The preamp is a custom type designed by EMG specifically for this model.
It simply boosts bass and treble.
And it fits perfectly, as expected.

When boosted, the concave peak in the mid-range is exquisite, and the sound changes clearly and stylishly.

And yet, it doesn't lose its bass-like character and retains its beautiful overtones.
It speaks volumes about the significance of boosting with a 2-band EQ.

It is characterized by an extremely fast, speedy playing feel.
And yet it still has ample bass, resulting in a harmonic-rich, treble-heavy sound.

This is a supreme guitar, possible only because Mr. Kikuchi is making basses in the modern era.

Approximately 95% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.

There are a few small dents and scratches on the body and finish.

No obvious modifications were found.

Instruments purchased from our store are eligible for a lifetime free ""string vibration setup"" (normally ¥4,400). (Reservation required)

● Repurchase Price Guarantee

If you sell your purchase within six months of purchase, we will guarantee the repurchase price. This guarantee is 50% for new instruments and 70% for used instruments.

● Defect Guarantee

Products sold by Basic Co., Ltd. are guaranteed against defects. With the exception of some consignment items and other products, we will repair any malfunctions that occur under normal use free of charge during the warranty period (returns and refunds will only be accepted if repairs are not possible).

The warranty period is three months for used products and one year for new products.

Please note that even within the warranty period, there will be a fee for repairs in the following cases:

- Replacement of consumables.
