Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Ken Smith is a New York, USA brand that produces top-quality electric basses.
Their products are truly superb. They have attracted many bassists.
This model is an ambitious work, the Burner, manufactured in Japan while incorporating the full essence of Ken Smith.
It is also known as Hadrien Feraud's early favourite.
The Burner is also a model with features such as bolt-on and BT shape.
The electronics have a large mod.
The PUs have been replaced with Kent Armstrongs.
The PUs are hum-canceled and each has an additional series/parallel switch.
This is a mod that gives it more of a Ken Smith feel. Also, the fact that the replaced PUs are Kent Armstrongs is a nice touch.
The preamp has been replaced with a Birdcage BCP-3 and a middle control has been added.
These mods look like they are going for the original Ken Smith.
The frets have been replaced with stainless steel and the nut appears to have been replaced with a brass one to accompany it.
The truss rod cover is fitted with a wooden one, which is held in place by a magnet.
The back panel has also been replaced with a wooden one.
The tuners have been replaced by HIPSHOT ULTRALITE tuners and the side positions by luminescent ones.
This has contributed to improved playability.
The sound is more clearly pronounced and powerful than the USA-made series.
It also sounds faster and has a wider range.
The nuance of the Burner is like the original Ken Smith in a good sense, and it also gives the impression of a further evolution of the Burner.
Unique but practical.
It seems that the majority of the mod's construction is SLEEK ELITE.
Try the Burner, which has only been achieved because it is modern.
Roughly 70% of frets left.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and paintwork shows minor dents and scratches.
The electrical system is in good condition.
