Description & Condition

J.W. Black is a former Fender master builder who has continued to build great guitars and basses since becoming independent.

He started his career in the 70's, and after working for Sadowsky, Rudy's, and Fender, and repairing vintage guitars as an individual (he worked on guitars for Frank Zappa, Eric Clapton, and others), he launched his own eponymous brand.

This model is based on his concept, but manufactured in Japan to keep the price low.

It is inspired by vintage-style basses, but has modern elements, and is characterized by a fat yet tight nuance that comes through.

It is packed with the royal elements of a jazz bass, yet has a high playability and hot sound that is ideal for today's musicians.

The frets are approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is working and the neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and paint surface shows minor dings and minor abrasions.
Also, some metal parts are tarnished.
