The body top is made of ash and walnut and the back is mahogany in a modern configuration.
Exotic looks.
Neck is wenge and bubinga, fingerboard is rosewood.
The PU is a Nordstrand Bigsingle and the preamp with 3-band EQ is an original design.
This PU is expensive and not often used in inexpensive basses, so when Ibanez first announced this specification there was a surprise.
It has a good balance between sound and playability, just like an Ibanez.
The slim neck and compact body ensure playability, while the powerful electronics deliver a quality sound output.
This is a world-class instrument that Japan can be proud of.

The truss rod is in good working order.
Neck is in good condition. There are two dents on the tip of the head.
The body and paintwork are in good condition, with a few larger scratches on the body back and body sides. The waist of the body sides, body top and neck pick-up cover were originally painted matte, but have been played and are now shiny. Compared to the catalogue of the time, the colour has been tarnished and looks yellowish overall.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
