Description & Condition
Ibanez is a globally acclaimed Japanese guitar brand, standing alongside Fender and Gibson.
This is one of the MC series guitars, representing Japan's vintage era.
It's famous for being used by Sting during his Police era.
Referencing the serial number indicates it was manufactured in the 1980s.
Consulting the catalog from that era shows the body features an Ash top and back, with a Mahogany center.
The neck is a 5-piece Maple and Walnut construction, with an Ebony fingerboard.
The body could also be Sen.
It features a powerful active circuit, delivering a massive, three-dimensional sound image.
Its sheer volume is a characteristic charm typical of basses from this era.
The substantial body paired with a sturdy bridge produces a tight, crisp sound that is exceptionally pleasing.
