Description & Condition
History is an original brand produced by Shimamura Gakki.
As you'd expect from a music store's original brand, it's known for its high cost performance.
This model was overseen by bassist TMMK, who currently performs under the name Takuma Sato.
The body is made of alder with an ash top.
Walnut is sandwiched between the back and top of the body.
The fingerboard is rosewood.
The pickups are HISTORY HBJ-5s.
The preamp is an Aguilar OBP-3.
This can be bypassed with a mini switch, allowing it to be used as a passive circuit.
The walnut excluding the elbow cut, combined with the see-through white finish, creates a rich atmosphere.
This guitar is packed with attention to detail, including a series/parallel switch for the pickups and an ebony finger rest.
Approximately 85% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is slightly too high. Adjusting it to 2.2mm-3.1mm, 0.2mm higher than the GIB standard, allows for smooth playability. Due to its construction, the first string's action can only be lowered to 2.0mm.
There are occasional dents and scratches on the body and finish.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
Controls: Neck pickup volume, bridge pickup volume, middle pickup (push/pull frequency selector - 400Hz/800Hz), treble/bass, active/passive switch, series/parallel switch
Nut width: 48.4mm
Bridge string spacing: 18.0mm
Scale: 34 inches
Year of manufacture: Unknown
Country of manufacture: Japan
Pitbull Strings, which we import and sell, were used for setup.
Enjoy these high-quality strings, which deliver a natural sound and maximize the performance and character of your instrument.
