One of the famous machines produced by Fujigen is this Heartfield DR series.
Neck-through construction with a multi-layer laminate style maple neck joint.
Excellent playability is attractive.
I think this point is typical of a Japanese-made instrument, and is of a high standard.
The sharp, powerful, and massive tone will be useful in many ensembles.
I think this was at a time when multi-string basses were not yet popular, but the fact that they were able to produce such a high level of perfection was due to their natural strength.
