The Les Paul Junior was introduced in 1954 as a student model of the Les Paul Standard introduced by Gibson in 1952.
This model is a 2015 Les Paul Junior.
The year 2015 was a year of significant model changes at Gibson to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of world-renowned guitarist Les Paul.
The Les Paul Junior has a special head logo with Les Paul 100 painted on it, auto tuners, a brass nut, and a new neck shape, to name a few of the year's premium features.
The body is the standard Mahogany.
The traditional single-cut body shape has a flat top for a retro look.
The neck is Mahogany and the fingerboard is Rosewood, a traditional combination.
One dog ear type P-90 pickup is installed.
It produces a sweet, edgy sound.
Models manufactured in 2015 are equipped with an auto tuner, but this model has been removed.
This gives it the same ease of operation and balance as the traditional model.
The Junior has a different sound and look from the standard model and has many fans.
