Description & Condition
Description & Condition
FGN (Fujigen) is Japan's world-class guitar factory.
It is highly regarded worldwide and has manufactured many guitar brands such as Fender on an OEM basis.
This is Fujigen's original brand.
This model is a custom-ordered Expert Series ODYSSEY.
It features a well-balanced body shape reminiscent of high-end guitars.
The body is made of alder, the neck is made of maple, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, all traditional woods.
The body, head, and parts are all black in color, giving it a cool look.
The neck is made of quarter-sawn maple, which is used by high-end brands such as Suhr.
Compared to board grain maple, quarter-sawn maple is sturdier, more resistant to changes in the environment, and more stable.
It has a shape called a conical fingerboard, in which the fingerboard radius changes to flat from the low to high frets.
This allows for a comfortable sound even when the string height is lowered, without clogging up the sound overall.
The edges of the frets are beautifully treated, and the unique neck joint makes the overall playing feel stress-free.
Three original single coil pickups are installed.
The sound is characterized by a crisp, sparkling sound.
The bridge pickup is equipped with a direct switch that allows one-touch switching.
It can be flexibly used in various situations.
Hardware specs include Gotoh Magnum lock pegs and a two-point Wilkinson tremolo bridge.
This is a gem packed with various specifications and finished neatly with Fujigen's solid technical skills.
For those looking for a practical instrument.
The remaining frets are approximately 90%.
The truss rod is in good working order and the neck is in good condition.
The body and painted surface are black, so many fine scratches are noticeable. The pickguard has many scratches from playing. There is rust on metal parts.
The joint plate and bridge have some chrome peeling.
