Description & Condition
Fodera is one of the most respected high-end bass brands in the world.
Founder Vinny Fodera began his career while still in his teens.
After working in prestigious workshops such as Spector and Ken Smith, he founded Fodera Guitars in 1983.
Their customers include Victor Wooten, Richard Bona, Marcus Miller, Anthony Jackson and many other top musicians from around the world.
The sigh-inducingly beautiful finish of their guitars is what makes the high price tag worth it.
This Imperial is Richard Bona's signature model.
The body is a combination of Olive and Ash.
The laminated neck is mainly made of Maple and is jointed with a through neck.
The PU is an EMG 40J and the pre-amp is an original Fodera.
Overall, the guitar is in very clean condition and has been treated with care.
As for the paintwork, there are some weather-check-like cracks in some areas.
It is very easy to play and the sound is great, not to mention the straight, unleveled sound that is typical of the Fodera.
At the same time (or perhaps because of that), the beauty of the modeling is also very eye-catching.
In both sound and looks, you can feel that Fodera's aesthetic sense is at work here.
It's one that will impress you when you see it in person.
I would like you to see it in person.
The remaining frets are approximately 80%.
The truss rod feels a little loose, but since this is during the humid season, we judge that it is not a big problem. If the truss rod gets stuck, GIB can repair it, etc., and we have a warranty period.
The neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and paintwork shows cracks throughout.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No clear modifications were found.
