Description & Condition
One of the most respected high-end bass brands in the world is Fodera.
Founder Vinny Fodera began his career while still in his teens.
After working in prestigious workshops such as Spector and Kensmith, he founded Fodera Guitars in 1983.
Their clients include some of the world's most prestigious musicians, such as Victor Wooten, Richard Bona, Marcus Miller, and Anthony Jackson.
The sigh-inducingly beautiful workmanship of this model is well worth the hefty price tag.
This model is the NYC Empire 5-string bass, which is manufactured in Japan, offering both high quality and a practical price.
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is rosewood, a classic configuration.
Fodera and Emperor basses with this configuration are especially popular.
The bridge is a hipshot, and the tuners appear to be made by GOTOH.
The PU is dual coils, and there is no noise at all.
The bass tone that extends like a string is beautiful and straight.
It is an elegant gem that does not lose its JB-like nuance.
The remaining frets are approximately 90%.
The truss rod is in good working condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and paint surface is relatively clean with some scratches and a few small dings. The bridge pickup has been touched up and the paint is peeling on the 5th string side.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
