Fernandes is a well-established brand that has been active in Japanese guitar making since the early days of the industry.
This one appears to be the LBJ-511 model.
It has LBJ-511 stamped on the back of the neck.
In terms of looks, it is similar to the retrospect 5 Deluxe JP and was probably produced as an export model.
The body top and back are made of Quilted Maple, giving it an exotic look.
Pickups have been replaced with EMG-LJCS / SJCS.
The high range, high speed and smooth playability from the narrow 42mm nut width for a 5-string bass is very attractive.
The frets are approximately 70% full.
The truss rod is stiff, but the 90-degree movement has been confirmed.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show minor scratches. There are several dents on the sides of the body.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The pickguard is missing. (A pickguard made by another manufacturer has been fitted unattached and can be removed.)

Instruments purchased at our shop are entitled to a free 'string vibration set-up' (normally 4,400 yen) forever. (Reservations required)
Please present your warranty card with your name written on it.
The warranty is valid only for the person who purchased the instrument from the GIB and TONIQ physical and online shops.
The customer is responsible for all shipping and other costs.
Re-purchase value guarantee.
We guarantee the purchase price if you part with your purchase within six months of purchase. The amount is 50% for new items and 70% for used items.
Guarantee against defects
Products sold by Basic Ltd are guaranteed against defects. With the exception of certain products, such as consignment items, we will repair free of charge (or return and refund if this is not possible) any defects that occur during a certain warranty period after purchase and use within the normal scope of use.
