The neck date is 7DEC66A.
Based on this, we've determined that the neck was made in 1966.
The body is likely alder.
It was refinished by GIB.
It has subtle relic work, giving it an excellent feel.
The neck has a classic maple neck and rosewood fingerboard.
The nut has been refretted and replaced.
The pickups appear to be original gray bobbins.
The entire electrical system has been replaced with current parts.
It has a classic jazz bass sound that everyone loves, with powerful lows and crisp highs.
I highly recommend it.
Approximately 90% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is slightly twisted, but playability is not affected. The action is adjusted to 2.0mm-2.5mm.
The body and finish are not original. It has been refinished and lightly relic-treated. A shim was placed in the neck pocket to increase height, and then it was refinished.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The frets and internal electrical system have been replaced.
The electrical system uses current CTS pots (250k, A-curve), a current Switchcraft jack, and Orange Drop capacitors.
We also refinished it, filed the frets, replaced the nut, and created a pickguard in our shop.
