Description & Condition
Description & Condition
The SR series is a long-running series, and the combination of a slim body and neck with powerful electronics is well balanced and highly regarded worldwide.
The SR1405 is an Indonesian-made SR.
It is no exaggeration to say that Indonesia is currently the most highly regarded guitar manufacturing country in the world, and in addition to Ibanez, guitars are manufactured there by PRS and others. (That's why CORT and others have factories in the country.)
I have been informed that there is no distribution in Japan and that these models are for overseas.
I certainly can't find any information on distribution when I looked it up.
The body is mahogany back with flame maple top.
The neck is a 5-piece laminated combination of wenge, bubinga, and atlas.
The fingerboard is nominally rosewood.
It is probably Indonesian rosewood.
Indonesia is actually one of the world's leading exporters of wood, and the native woods are known for their diversity and high quality.
The scale is 34 inches.
The PU is a Nordstrand Big single, and the preamp with 3-band EQ is an original design.
This PU is not often used in inexpensive basses due to its high price, so it was a surprise when Ibanez first announced this specification.
It has a good balance between sound and playability, just like Ibanez.
The slim neck and compact body ensure playability, while the powerful electronics produce a high quality sound.
This is a world-class instrument that Japan can be proud of.
Highly recommended.
The remaining frets are approximately 80%.
The truss rod is in good working order and the neck is in good condition.
There are some dents and peeling paint near the jack, but overall, the instrument is quite clean and beautiful.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
PJB brand strings were used as replacement strings this time.
They are comfortable to the touch and provide a supple vibration.
The strings are good and straightforward.
