Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Fender is the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
Used by countless top artists including James Jamerson, Bobby Vega, Michael League, and more. (Title omitted)
The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model of the Precision Bass.
Its sharp and clear sound has been loved by many bassists since ancient times, and even today it has received overwhelming support and is recognized as one of the classics.
This is an American Standard 5-string jazz bass manufactured in 1996.
It is characterized by a head equipped with 5 tuning machines, and has been showing signs of becoming popular again in recent years.
The body is Alder, the fingerboard is Rosewood, and the standard specs.
The finish called Crimson Red Burst is a color seen in the late 90's and is also secretly gaining popularity.
The nut may have been replaced, as the paint on the side of the nut is cracked.
Controls are neck PU volume, bridge PU volume, and master tone.
It has a powerful sound that is typical of Fender, with a strong low range and an aggressive high range, but it also has a slightly tighter, easier-to-handle, and organized feeling.
There are "AUG 07 1996, JUL 18 1996, JUL 23 1996" stamps on the neck pocket, "40022" on the neck end, and "JUL 15 1996" on the neck end (back of the neck).
Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The movement of the truss rod is a little stiff, but we have confirmed that it can move around 90 degrees.
The neck is in good condition. There is a pilot hole near the head top 5 string tuning machine where a string guide would have been attached. (Currently filled in.)
The condition of the body and painted surface shows some dents and scratches.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The nut is thought to have been replaced, as the paint near the nut side is cracked.
