Fender is undoubtedly the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's beloved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)

The Jazz Bass was released as a premium model of the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is beloved by many bassists, and it continues to enjoy overwhelming support and a shining presence to this day.

This Jazz Bass was manufactured in 1978.

The neck end is stamped 02○○○○81.
The bridge pickup is stamped ○56478.

Overall, we determined it to be from 1978.

The body is made of ash and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, a classic construction.
This configuration produces a sound that combines a wide range with a strong mid-range.

While many 1970s JBs have a sound that's too bland, this one seems to have a rich low-end.

The bridge pickup is original, but the neck pickup has been replaced.
Although they have separate pickups, there was no discomfort in the sound and it didn't make a negative impression.

The guitar has been refretted, and the nut replaced accordingly. The playing feel is smooth and the work was done with great precision.

There is also plenty of room in the truss rod, making this a guitar with the potential to continue to be a top-tier performer.

I recommend it.

Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paint show signs of use, with dents, paint peeling, and scratches.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The neck pickup has been replaced, but the bridge pickup is original. The pots have been replaced with current CTS models. The jack has been replaced with a Pure Tone Jack. This guitar has been refretted and re-nutted.
