Description & Condition

Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.

It's loved by countless top artists, including James Jamerson, Bobby Vega, and Michael League. (Titles omitted)

The Precision Bass, introduced in 1951 as the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, has been loved by bassists worldwide for over half a century.

This model is a Precision Bass manufactured in 1976.

The neck date is 0103 3764, indicating a 1976 manufacture.

The serial number also exhibits characteristics of a 1976 production.

Based on the above, we have determined that this instrument was manufactured in 1976.

The body is likely made of ash.

While there are some signs of use commensurate with its age, it is in remarkably good condition for a vintage instrument nearly half a century old.

The neck and fingerboard are made of 1-piece maple.

This combination produces a tight, bright attack characteristic of the 70s.

The pickups are made by Delano, known for their clear, high-resolution, and noiseless sound.

All potentiometers have been replaced with CTS parts, and the capacitors with CDE Orange Drop capacitors.

While retaining the vintage resonance, the electronics have been customized for high practicality.

The sound is irresistible, with a powerful, tight low end and a bright, punchy attack that is typical of the 70s.

Picking nuances are faithfully reproduced, resulting in an overwhelming presence whether fingerstyle or picked.

This instrument weighs approximately 3.9kg, which is relatively light for an Ash-bodied Precision Bass from this era, many of which are quite heavy.

Its ease of handling and stress-free playing during long stages or rehearsals are significant advantages for any player.

This guitar perfectly balances the vintage character with the clear sound quality demanded in modern settings.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a ready-to-use 70's PB that can continue to be used actively for years to come.

Fret life is approximately 60%.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck has some slight upward bowing, but with string height adjustments of 2.5mm for the G string and 3.0mm for the E string at the 12th fret, it is perfectly playable.

The body and paintwork have some dents and scratches, but are remarkably clean considering its age.

The electronics are in good condition.

The pickups have been replaced with Delano / PMVC 4 FE/M2.

The volume and tone pots have been replaced with current CTS parts, and the capacitors with CDE Orange Dropn capacitors.
