Fender is the undisputed number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
Fender is loved by countless top artists such as Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee.

The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model of the Precision Bass.
Its sharp and clear sound has been loved by many bassists, and even today it enjoys overwhelming support and a shining presence.

This model is a Jazz Bass made in 1973.

The body is constructed of alder and the fingerboard is made of maple.
When you think of 70's, you may recall the combination of ash and maple, but alder and maple are also very good.

The fingerboard is decorated with black binding and block inlays, giving it a distinctive look.

The neck stamp is "7 JAN 73A," which we interpret as an A neck manufactured in January 1973.

There is an X.ARMENTA stamp on the back of the neck, so we can determine that it was made by Xavier Armenta.

The pickups are gray bobbins.
Stamp on the neck pickup is "x x x 4 73" and on the bridge pickup is "18 21 73".

Tuners and bridge are believed to be original.

The two volume pots are dated "304-7246", so we can determine that it was manufactured by STACK POLE in the 46th week of 1972.
The jacks are Switchcraft, and the capacitors are ITW, which we believe to be original.

The tone pot has been replaced with a recent CTS, and the pickup and control cavities have been sealed with conductive paint.

The nut appears to have been replaced.

There are many opinions on modifying vintage Fenders, but if you ask a player, less noise is better, and pots should definitely be stable and work well.
This is by no means a negative point.

The frets are roughly 80% remaining.

Truss rod operation and neck are in good condition.
There are numerous 1-5mm dents on the head tip and grip.
The paint on the fingerboard has peeled off and turned white, although it is not peeling.

The body and paint are in good condition with scratches, dings, and cracks.
The electrical system is in good condition.
