Description & Condition
Fender is the undisputed number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
Fender is loved by countless top artists such as James Jamerson, Bobby Vega, Michael League, and many more.
This is a so-called Telecaster Bass made in 1972.
The body is probably made of Ash.
The nut had a problem, so GIB made a new one and replaced it.
The pots are made by CTS in recent years.
A pot that is believed to be original is also included.
The knob is also included, but we could not determine if this is original.
The stamp on the neck end is "23JAN72B."
The sound is characterized by a wild but articulate sound that can pronounce the attack.
It is an extreme pickup layout, but the sound has balance, which is the charm of this design.
The remaining frets are roughly 50%.
The truss rod is slightly loose, but we have confirmed that it works at least 90 degrees.
The neck is in good condition with some wear on the top of the frets, but the string height is good enough to play without any problems at 2.3mm to 2.8mm.
The back of the neck shows scattered dents that are not noticeable upon closer inspection.
The condition of the body and painted surfaces is good: the entire body is tanned, and there are scattered dents.
The end of the body has some black color transfer.
The electrical system is in good condition.
