Description & Condition

Fender is undoubtedly the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's beloved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)

The Jazz Bass was released as a premium model of the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is beloved by many bassists, and it continues to enjoy overwhelming support and a shining presence to this day.

This model was manufactured between 1965 and 1966.

The neck end is stamped ""7 MAY 65 A.""
The neck pickup volume pot is stamped 304-6520, the bridge pickup volume pot is stamped 137-66○○, and the tone pot is stamped 137-6611.

The age was determined based on other specifications.

The body is alder.
The body has been refinished in black.

A few peeling areas show a Lake Placid Blue color, but judging from the paint seeping into the screw holes, these appear to be refinishes.

The neck is maple and the fingerboard is rosewood with rounded edges, popular specifications.

The instrument has been refretted and re-nutted accordingly.
The frets are precisely aligned, and the current condition of the neck is excellent.

This is a high-quality job that preserves the original feel.

The pickups are the original gray bobbin.
The neck pickup leads have been replaced. The jack has also been replaced with a current SWITHCRAFT jack.

Although there are some modifications, as mentioned above, it has been well maintained, and it is a guitar that will be loved for many years to come.

The sharp, crisp sound is characteristic of a mid-'60s jazz bass.
The combination of this sound and a mid-range with rich overtones gives it a truly vintage feel.

It will also work well with modern music.

I recommend it.

Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show signs of use, with occasional dents and scratches.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The guitar has been refretted and re-nutted accordingly. The body has been refinished black. The bridge has been replaced. The jack has been replaced with a current SWITHCRAFT model. The neck pickup leads have been replaced. The capacitor may have been replaced.
