It's no exaggeration to say that, alongside the Fender Jazz Bass and Precision Bass, it's one of the most popular basses in the world.

This is a Japanese-made Stingray VT.

The EX is the most well-known Japanese-made Stingray, but this model is its predecessor.

It was produced for a very short period of time and is quite rare.

Manufactured in 1996.

The body is likely ash.

The neck and fingerboard are maple.

The pickups and preamp are original.

It follows the specs of the Pre Ernie, with a 2-band preamp and a back-to-back bridge.

It features a manly design with one humbucking pickup mounted on the bridge side.

This is the only way to get that crisp sound.
A must-try for anyone playing funk or mixed styles.

Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is a bit stiff, but has been confirmed to move about 90 degrees.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paint show occasional scratches. There is also some tarnish on the metal parts.

The strap pins have been replaced with Jim Dunlop ones. The bridge is designed so that the strings cannot be threaded through the front.
