Description & Condition
Musicman emerged as LeoFender's second brand and was beloved by bassists worldwide.
This continued even after it was acquired by Ernie Ball, and it remains a popular brand among modern bassists.
Many artists, including Louis Johnson and Flea, are known to use Musicman basses. (Titles omitted)
The Stingray is the brand's most popular staple model.
It's no exaggeration to say that, alongside the Fender Jazz Bass and Precision Bass, it's one of the most popular basses in the world.
This is a Japanese-made Stingray VT.
The EX is the most well-known Japanese-made Stingray, but this model is its predecessor.
It was produced for a very short period of time and is rare.
For this reason, it is highly prized among enthusiasts.
It was manufactured in 1996.
The neck end is inscribed with ""1.6 96-5"" in pen.
The specifications follow the Pre Ernie, with a 2-band preamp and a back-to-back bridge.
The body is likely ash.
The neck and fingerboard are maple.
The pickups and preamp are original.
It features a manly design with one humbucking pickup mounted on the bridge side.
This is the only guitar that can produce that crisp sound.
