Dorian James Guitars, based in California, boasts a wide clientele ranging from session musicians to arena-class artists, and is highly regarded for its undeniable quality, unique looks, and sound.
While centered on the Fender style, it possesses a unique style that blends nuances from renowned brands such as Gretsch, Gibson, and Mosrite.
Every step, from wood cutting and shaping to assembly, is done by hand, making each guitar entirely handmade.
The builder's passion is poured into every single instrument.
The BERTHA T is a model inspired by the Original Precision Bass.
It features a classic wood combination of an alder body and a rosewood fingerboard.
It utilizes a slab body without contour cuts and boasts a luxurious look with binding.
Due to a defect, the pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan SCPB-1 Vintage Single Coil P-Bass.
While this model originally uses a noiseless pickup, this particular instrument has a sound that is more characteristic of the OPB.
Its clear, thick, and deep sound is particularly appealing.
The crisp, bouncy feel characteristic of North American-made basses makes them a joy to play.
Its simplicity allows for a core, high-quality sound.

Fret life is approximately 80%.
The truss rod is stiff, but approximately 90-degree movement has been confirmed.

The body and paintwork show some minor scratches and small dents.
