This is the quintessential example of a custom-ordered bass.

The body, made from a combination of several woods, is eye-catching.
It looks like a combination of bubinga, rosewood, flame maple, and mahogany.

The neck is a 5-piece laminated type, mainly made of maple.
The fingerboard is Hakaranda according to the consignor.

Pickups are Haeussel and the circuit is Jiraud Neo Passive.
It seems that the original circuit was different and some controls are dummies.
The current controls are described below.

The bridge is KAHLER with arming.

The frets are roughly 60% remaining.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is in good condition. There is stand burn at the base of the neck.
The body and paint surfaces are in good condition with a number of hard-to-notice dings and scratches. There is a gap on the top of the body where the top wood joins the pickups on the 4th string side, and the beginning of the wood joint near the 19th fret is uneven to the touch and the gap extends to the bridge pickup. The gap extends to the bridge pickup. It is probably caused by thinning of the wood. Currently, there is no problem in playing.
The electrical system is in good condition.
According to the owner, there was originally an Aguilar preamp on this guitar. Currently, it has been replaced with a Jiraud Neo Passive. The pot and mini-switch on the body end are dummies.
