Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Bacchus is a Japanese brand based in Nagano.
It is a subsidiary of Divider, which owns the large Asuka Factory, a guitar factory. The high quality possible only because the factory itself makes the guitars is highly regarded by many musicians.
This model is a WOODLINE model in the Japan Tune-up series, a new series created with the aim of achieving high quality.
The Japan Tune-up series is manufactured overseas, with nut adjustment and fret filing performed domestically.
This allows for high quality while keeping prices low, and aims to rival the top quality Japanese-made guitars in every aspect.
I actually saw the work being done in Divider's workshop in Nagano, and the careful finishing of each guitar is no different from that of the top-of-the-line HANDMADE series.
The WL-4 is already a popular model, and its high quality is highly acclaimed.
This model features a gorgeous quilted maple body top.
As you can see, the looks are impressive, but you wouldn't expect it to be in this price range. I was surprised.
This is something that would normally be unheard of, but I think it's one of the great things about Divider that they can bring about innovations like this.
The neck is also made of roasted maple.
Roasted maple is a wood that is highly stable when treated at high temperatures, which evaporates the moisture and oils inside the wood.
It was originally a building material for Finnish saunas, and is particularly resistant to high temperatures and humidity.
Bacchus also has many passive models, but this AC model is equipped with an active circuit.
Making full use of the two-band treble and bass EQ allows for powerful sound creation.
The super-smooth playing feel, typical of the brand, is a distinctive feature, and the sound is also smooth.
Roasted maple is known for its smooth attack and refined tone, and this model is no exception.
Specifications like these are not usually found in this price range.
You can get a powerful sound while still enjoying a smooth response.
It's comfortable to play, and you'll want to play this instrument for a long time.
An exceptionally affordable, high-quality piece.
Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show signs of use, with some paint peeling, dents, and scratches.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
