Atelier Z is a brand that specializes in making copies of the NY-style JB, which was popular for a while.
This is the flagship M series, Tomohito Aoki's signature model.
It's a copy of an American custom brand based on the 1970s Fender Jazz Bass.
The body is ash, the fingerboard and neck are maple and Sadowsky-style.
The bridge is an original BADASS-style, and the tuning machines are GOTOH.
The pickups are Seymour Duncan SMB-5D, and the preamp is also made by Seymour Duncan.
There are screw holes for the pickup fence, and the back panel says Spectrum Boost, so it's likely that it has been modified.
Both pickups can be switched between series/tap/parallel, and output a variety of tones such as JB, PB, and MM.
By pulling the master volume knob, you can instantly change to a deep slap tone, and you can also reproduce the NYC sound.
