Atelier Z is a professional bass brand widely beloved by bassists both in Japan and internationally.
It is known for being favored by renowned musicians such as Tomohito Aoki, KenKen, BOH, and JINO.
This is the flagship M Series, Tomohito Aoki's signature model.
Based on the 1970s Fender Jazz Bass, it's a model developed for a more modern sound.
The body is Ash, the fingerboard and neck are Maple – the brand's standard configuration.
The pickup is an EMG JVX.
It's a passive model.
The preamp is a Bartolini XTCT.
The bridge is an original Badass type.
Its appeal lies in the punchy low end delivered by the heavy Ash body and the bright, cutting high end.
