Description & Condition
Aria Pro II is an international brand that has been active since the dawn of Japanese guitar making.
Because it is an in-house brand of Arai Boeki, a large trading company, it excels at combining high quality with affordable prices.
This is a 1986 RSB made in Japan.
Usually, 864mm (34inch) scale is used for Fender Jazz Bass, but this one has a slightly shorter scale of 820mm (about 32inch).
It is also worth mentioning that the bridge is original.
Many Japanese-made guitars of this period have such original hardware.
Looking at it again now, the style is like a combination of PRS and BADASS II.
Personally, I think it makes sense and looks great. (I like the fact that the ball end can be removed quickly and the angle is not too tight due to the distance between the ball end and the saddle.)
The body is alder and the fingerboard is rosewood, a classic configuration.
The pickups are dual coils.
The old RSB has a very attractive sound, with a comfortable feel and a tight low end.
Old RSB is nice.
The remaining frets are about 70%.
The truss rod is in good working condition.
The neck is in good condition. Scattered dents and scratches. The pegs are dull and rusty.
The body and painted surface are generally in good condition with many dents and scratches. Dullness and rust can be seen on metal parts.
The electrical system is in good condition.
Jack has been replaced by switchcraft at GIB.
