Description & Condition
Sago is a handmade guitar brand located in Hyogo that specializes in fully custom-made guitars that meet all customer requests.
Also, the regular models (although most of them are one-offs) that are created by utilizing the knowledge and skills that have been cultivated over a long period of time are also highly praised.
It is a brand that is trusted by musicians, and Sago artists include Mr. Tabuchi of Unison Square Garden, RIO of Mary's Blood, and Mr. Kusakari of Sakanaction.
This is the Ove 5, an original model that gives the impression of modern JB style.
This is an experimental prototype in which all wood except the fingerboard has been subjected to strong thermo-treatment (called Dark Thermo at Sago).
It was manufactured over 10 years ago.
The body top is Thermo Quilted Maple.
These woods are now very expensive.
Thermo Alder is used for the body back.
The neck is Thermo Maple and the fingerboard is Rosewood.
The wood, called Thermo wood, was originally a Finnish building material for saunas and is particularly resistant to high temperatures and humidity.
Perhaps due to this, the sound starts up smoothly and has a pleasant response.
Some new basses give the impression that the strings are bent only on the frets, but this bass does not have that negative aspect.
However, the range and tension of the sound are just like a modern bass, and it's wonderful that they are well balanced.
The bridge uses HIPSHOT's Vintage style, and the tuning machine is GOTOH RES O LITE.
GOTOH RES O LITE is extremely lightweight and helps prevent head drop.
At the same time, in terms of sound, it gives the impression of a HIPSHOT Ultralite.
The sound has a unique sound with Sago's unique low-end ruggedness.
Although it has a modern wide range, it has a well-developed and rich mid-range, so it will blend perfectly with your ensemble.
There are scratches scattered throughout.
There is a 5mm paint crack near the bridge 5th string saddle, and a 5mm dent near the back panel jack.
