Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand whose clientele includes top musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee.

Until now, Metroline Express guitars were manufactured in Japan, but with Warwick taking over distribution of Sadowsky products, production has shifted to a factory in China.

High quality has been maintained while prices remain low, making this a very unique product in this price range.

When the Metroline Express series was first released, it did not feature the Sadowsky logo, but this has now been successfully changed.

In addition, the neck has been changed to roasted maple.
It has a satin finish that feels smooth to the touch.

The back panel, like the Warwick, is a screwless type.
Looking inside the cavity, you'll see that it's shielded with copper foil tape. It's impressive.

The pickups are PJ types, with a Precision Bass-style pickup in the neck and a Jazz Bass-style pickup in the bridge.

The bridge pickup is a hum-canceling type, minimizing the noise often associated with PJ guitars.

The preamp circuitry is roughly equivalent to that of top-of-the-line models priced at around 1 million yen, which I think is a major advantage.

Controls include volume, balance, bass, and treble.
A push-pull switch allows you to bypass the active circuit and play in passive mode.

The powerful, crisp sound sounds a little more flashy than recent NYC models.

Some people might even prefer this model based on sound alone.

It seems it would be difficult to create a product that offers the same high quality in the same price range.
