Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand whose clientele includes top-tier musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee.

While Metroline models were previously manufactured in Japan, production has now moved to the Warwick factory in Germany following Warwick’s assumption of distribution for Sadowsky products.

Since the Japanese-made Metroline models were highly regarded, there were some concerns about a potential drop in quality, but judging by the actual product, those fears seem unfounded.

Compared to the Japanese models, the neck feels slightly thinner, and there are differences in details such as the roundness of the body joint.

I believe the release of the single-cut model from Sadowsky NYC generated quite a buzz at the time.

However, since it was extremely expensive and is now rarely available, it never really gained widespread popularity.

Given that background, the release of the single-cut model from Metroline is certainly welcome news.

By joining the neck to the body at a shallower point than in the double-cut model, the design enhances strength and controls string vibration.

It is characterized by a stronger fundamental tone and a smooth attack.

Another unique feature is that, like the Will Lee model, it is equipped with a mid-boost preamp.

Controls include volume, balancer, tone (with active/passive switch), treble/bass, and a mid-boost switch.

The string vibration is beautifully engineered for an acoustic feel, resulting in a high-quality playing experience and sound.
