Xotic is a brand founded by Japanese builder Hiro Miura in LA.
Many famous musicians such as Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith, and Travis Carlton use Xotic.
XTB-1T is a new model introduced in 2025.
We have secured it following the first production run. It is also a Sound Messe exhibit.
As you can see, this one is based on the OPB motif.
The body is made of Ash and the fingerboard is Maple, a classic wood composition.
It is beautifully finished with Burguandy Mist color and Lacquer paint.
In addition, Heavy Aged finish gives it a vintage look and feel.
The tuning machine is a Hipshot Ultralite, and the bridge is a Hipshot Style B.
The use of a simple bridge seems to be a great match for me personally.
The position marks are LUMINOVA luminescent type, which are easy to see even on a dark stage.
The frets are Jescar.
The PU is original, and is matched with a well-established Xotic preamp.
The OPB is generally associated with the image of a passive bass, but the Xotic preamp with its extremely natural texture adds more convenience and expandability to the sound without sacrificing its charm.
It is a wonderful new product that is very easy to play like a modern bass and has the full fatness of sound that is typical of the OPB.
The GIB craftsmen have adjusted it to make it easier to play and deliver it to you.
