Xotic is a brand founded in LA by Japanese guitar builder Hiro Miura.
In Japan, it is used by many famous musicians, including Yoshiteru Takahashi, BJ from indigo jam unit, and Katsuji Morioka, and abroad, including Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith, and Travis Carlton.
XJ CORE is a new series that incorporates a more American nuance.
All work on the XJ-1T, from sawing to assembly, is done in Japan, but the Core series is sawn, shaped, and rod-equipped in the United States, and painted and assembled in Japan.
The original development began in Xotic USA, and Travis Carlton was involved in the production.
This is a custom order item from GIB.
The body is made of Ash and the fingerboard is made of Maple, which are classic woods.
The paint is lacquer, the color is natural, and the neck is gloss finish.
It has a nice atmosphere.
The pickups are Lindy Fralin, and the circuit is passive 2Vol, 1Tone.
This model is said to be simple, delicate, and expressive, with a theme of harmony between modern and traditional, and that is absolutely true.
When you actually play it, it feels like the subtle movement of the strings is simply reflected in the sound.
Given this point, it makes sense that it was designed as a passive model that deliberately excludes the excellent preamp, which is a major strength of Xotic.
